Just want to make my life easier, I looked for a way to remove my VMS password using AUTHORIZE utility.

First, I went to for the location of the User Authorization File (UAF) on the disk:

 $ SET DEFAULT VMS$DKA100:[VMS$COMMON.SYSEXE]

then… I defined AUTHORIZE foreign command:

 $ AUTHORIZE := $AUTHORIZE

and then… I executed AUTHORIZE to get into the UAF prompt:

$ AUTHORIZE
UAF>

finally… I modified the system account to no-password and exit from the UAF prompt:

UAF> MODIFY SYSTEM/NOPASSWORD
UAF> EXIT

the following log out and log in using the system account will not require any password entry.
